(Fiber to the Premises)- refers to a telecommunications system, replacing the last mile of copper to homes/businesses with fiber optic cables for delivery of broadband service. Same as FTTH, (Fiber to the Home).
Optical Internet network will allow people to use more qualitative services, high-speed and profitable Internet. This technology does not know borders. The amount of information transmitted over this network is much higher than in other networks. In other networks, volume of transmitted information is measured in megabytes and the fiber-optic network in Terra bytes.

1490 nm — data to your home1310 nm — data from your home
Sends data to every subscriber as light at 1490 nm and receives their signals at 1310 nm. The OLT also decides when each home is allowed to “talk”.
A small glass optical divider that needs no electricity. It simply splits the light into 32 or 64 equal parts. With no active equipment on the way, the network survives power cuts and needs no maintenance.
On download the OLT sends the same light to everyone and the ONT keeps only its own encrypted (AES) packets. On upload each ONT talks only in its own time slot assigned by the OLT (TDMA), so neighbours never collide on the shared fiber — switch to Upload to see it.
